Nursery Rhymes & Finger Plays

I love doing nursery rhymes, finger plays, and songs as much as my children do.  While having fun, they are learning rhythm, rhyme, and fine motor skills.  There is a considerable amount of evidence linking rhyme with reading ability.  These can be done in the car, waiting in the doctor’s office, or in your living room throughout the day.  Click for more nursery rhyme, finger play, and song ideas. 

Songs

The songs chosen are old Sunday School favorites.  They are strictly to heighten the curriculum.  I have tried to choose ones that are more familiar but any Bible song can be used.  Most songs can be found on The Ultimate Bible Song Collection and 100 Hymns and Praise Songs for Kids Cds.
