The 2 Year Curriculum is set up to be covered three times a week. Unlike the other ABCJLM curriculum, the 2 Year Curriculum focuses on simply introducing the child to the concepts. Little emphasis is put on recognizing and identifying. These activities should be spaced throughout a week as time provides and a child's attention span allows.
Many of you have asked how to turn the weekly lesson plans into daily activities. The ideas below are listed in order of detail and time involved (from easiest to most difficult). I personally use Idea #1 to remind myself of the weekly objectives. Then I add into play and daily activities these objectives as learning opportunities arise. Those who would like more structure may prefer the more detailed approaches. These ideas are strictly for example. Tweak it to work in your home! Idea #1 - Objective Poster
I created this poster because I needed a simple way to remember the weekly objectives (the goals in which I want to teach my child during the week's time). By placing it on my refrigerator, I can easily glance to see what I want to teach my child that week.
2 Year Old Curriculum Objective Poster
Think of the objective poster as a guide of what to cover throughout the week. Then, use normal, daily activities to teach the concepts. Here are a few examples:
- Color red - Wear red clothing, eat strawberries, and look for red while taking a walk. Paint with the color red.
- Number 2 - Count pictures in books, objects around the house, body parts during bath time. Look for the number 2 in books.
- Book of the Week - Read this book before naptime each day this week.
- Song - Sing while waiting for a meal to finish cooking.
- Memory Verse - Sing or say the verse while driving around town.
Idea #2 - "Highlighting the Lesson Plan" Example

The "Highlighting" idea works well if you would like to plan specific activities per day.
This example highlights directly in the lesson plan what you will teach each day, making notes along the sides, and using a different colored highlighter for each day and an additional color for items taught every day.

Idea #3 - 2 Year Curriculum Example
This example pulls items from the lesson plan and places them into a daily activity list. In education terms, you are creating a lesson plan. Here is an example:

Teach the Self-care and Manners Concept
Day 2:

Tell the Bible story using flannelgraph or props - allow the child to participate
Do a Bible story activity
Review Bible verse, Poem, and Song - have the child join you on the 2nd time
Read the Book of the Week and do an activity
Do an activity with the Color(s) of the Week
Review the Self-care and Manners Concept
Review the Letters, Number, and Information
Fine Motor Skill Activity
Day 3:

Review Bible verse, Poem, and Song
Read the Book of the Week
Do an activity with the Shape(s) of the Week
Review the Self-care and Manners Concept
