ABC Jesus Loves Me

Each verse relates to the story.  Almost all verses are used more than once to help with memory.  Songs are given as suggestions to help your child truly "hide them in their heart".  Many of the songs come for the Steve Green CD - Hide 'Em in Your Heart: Bible Memory Melodies, Vol. 1 .  Having a CD makes it easy to work on the verses throughout the day in your home and car.  The rest of the verses are set to familiar tunes. 

Visual aid is another option especially for children who are unable to read.  In the above picture from the Shining Star magazine, you can see how the verse is written using simple pictures to represent key words.  Sign language is a method that our children use at church to learn their verses.  Purchase or check out simple books online to give you the hand movements for key words.  I always use the sign for "book" while saying the scripture reference.  In both of these methods, create a visual aid or sign language movement for key words only - not every word in the verse.
