Eat strawberries. Make strawberry pie or strawberry shortcake.

Before turning the page, ask your child to guess what is going to happen. Don't take "I don't know" for an answer.

- View: Veggie Tales: “Wonderful Wizard of Ha’s” - The Story of the Prodigal Son
• Make sure that /r/ does not sound like “ER” but like the /r/ at the end of the word “bar”. It is a single sound that can be held out. The difference is in the placement of the tongue.
• Name - If the child is ready, slowly wean his/her away from the yellow, green and red guides. Start by taking away the yellow line. Do not be afraid to add the line when needed.
• After decorating the Letter R Poster, hold it like a steering wheel and "drive" making the /r/ sound.
• Lay out Legos of several colors – have your child point to and count only a certain color. This is sorting but in a little different way.
• The Beginning Sorting Set is a great set of items to sort.
• ABCJLM Valentine's Day Activities - Start early on Valentines so your child has lots of time to work on them.
• Play alphabet or number memory. Write each letter twice on an index card. Cut the index cards in half for perfect memory cards.
• Fine Motor Skills:
Sort small items by color: Easter eggs, crayons, Legos, M&M’s, Jelly Beans
• Gross Motor Skills:
Do a Human Dot-to-Dot (preparing for Dot to Dot worksheet next week)
Lay on the floor pieces of papers with numbers 1-11 on them. Have your child hop on the numbers in sequential order.
