• ABCJLM Valentine's Day Activities
Discuss the meaning of Valentine’s Day
• Write the letter "S" or "s" on 5 index cards. Walk around the house to find items that start with "s". Tape the cards to the item. For a twist, tape the cards to items and have your child find the cards.
• Matching – using Valentine cards that you received, cut the Valentine’s in half using different cutting patterns. Have you child correctly match the pieces.
• Using index cards or flashcards, put the letters in order from (A-S), (a-s), and numbers (0-11).
• How Do Seeds Grow? - A fun scientific experiment to watch seeds grow in a zip-top bag.
• Do a Dot-to-Dot Worksheet with numbers (1-9). Remind your child that they are doing the same thing that they did last week with the numbers on the floor; the difference is that they are using their pencil and not hopping.
• Fine Motor Skills:
Using play dough, make a snake to form an “s”
• Gross Motor Skills:
Roll and throw a soft ball
