• Good Samaritan Preschool Bible Activities & Coloring Sheets:

- As you read from My Story Bible (pg 92-93) have your child be the footsteps by patting on their legs making the footsteps crescendo as the men get closer and decrescendo as they walk away from the hurt man
- The Good Samaritan Story by Cullen's Abc's can give you some ideas of how to tell the story with puppets

- Showing Goodness/Kindness Story - The story of the Good Samaritan told from the perspective of the innkeeper. Remember that this is a story (parable) that Jesus told to help people understand how important it is to help and care for others, no matter who they are.
- Who is My Neighbor? paper craft
- Read:  Zuzu's Wishing Cake Zuzu's Wishing Cake by Linda Michelin - This book gives examples of how your child can reach out to other children and show love to all children, even those of a different nationality.

• Make Get Well Survival Kits to give away to someone who is sick or hurt.  (Reprinted by permission)
- Materials:  zip-lock bags, paper to print out the list of items included along with their meanings, hole punch, ribbon, one of each candy listed below
- Print to include in the zip-lock bag:
Tootsie Roll - To help all the pain, "roll" off your back.
Snicker's Bar - To remind you that laughter is the best medicine.
Lifesavers - To "save" you from feeling bored.
Dum-Dum Lollipop - To remind you to not do anything that silly again.
Chocolate Covered Raisins - For when your spirit needs "Raisin."
Flipz - To remind you that you will be back to doing "flips" in no time.
Mounds Bar - To remind you of how much you are loved.
Bubbles - To just blow all your worries away.
Hershey Kisses - Because they always make you feel better.
- Directions:
1. Give each child a copy of the list above that you have already printed, a zip-lock bag, and one of each item in the list.
2. Let the child put their items and the list in the zip-lock bag and seal it. 
3. Place two hole punches somewhere near the top of the zip-lock bag and have the child string a ribbon through the holes and knot it for a nice decoration.

• Sort books, coins, pieces to a train track, pencils, etc. - Always have the child explain to you why they sorted the items in their chosen piles

• Play "Simon Says" - touch "t" body parts - toes, tongue, tummy, tushie, tailbone, stand on tiptoes

• My Young Child Character Education Story - read online for free or print.  Be sure to do the discussion and activities for each book.

• Read:  Miss Spider Miss Spider's Tea Party: The Counting Book to reinforce counting 1-12.  Have your child read the counting words.

• Do a Dot-to-Dot Worksheet with numbers 1-9

• Fine Motor Skills:
Have your child cut around shapes that you have drawn on cardstock.  Draw a circle, triangle, square and diamond using thick lines.  Check out Teaching How to Use Scissors for ideas.

• Gross Motor Skills: 
Play basketball with rolled up socks or a soft ball and a box or laundry basket
