Ideas:
• Book of the Week Ideas:
Have your child draw their own story with a purple crayon.  Dictate the storyline that your child creates.
Purple Activities
Shape Activity
Eat purple food, wear purple clothes, and play with purple playdoh.

• Patterns – discuss how patterns are all around us

• Pattern - Connect Four, Checkers, or different colored post-it notes

• After your child is able to correctly form the 3" characters on bold yellow lines, place the characters on the classic manuscript paper with the same yellow marker.  Add the same green and red dots for each letter.  Start with the wider 1 1/2" Blank Tracing Line WorksheetBe sure to read Learning to Write to understand how to use these worksheets effectively. 

• At Snack time – give two different snacks and create a pattern

• Jesus Loves the Little Children Story idea:
 Preschool to Pre-K

• Create a Name Collage - Either print out the child's name using the Letter Posters or draw it on poster board using bubble letters.  On each letter, glue items that begin with that letter.  For example:  Ben - B (buttons), E (egg shells), N (noodles) - Thank you Shannon for this idea

• Place 3 magnetic letters or numbers on the table.  Let your child look at them and say the names of each and then close their eyes.  Remove one.  Have your child figure out which letter or number is missing.

• Fine Motor Skills:
PlayDoh - Hide coins or small items in the playdough or putty and have your child find the item - Encourage your child to not use their thumb

• Gross Motor Skills:
Walk Like Animals - have the kids come up with ideas but here are a few to get you started 
- Bear - on all fours
- Crab - side to side
- Turtle - creep
- Snake - slither on tummy
- Ostrich - hold one ankle up
- Frog - squat and jump
- Kangaroo or bunny - hop with both feet
- Horse - gallop
- Gorilla - bend your knees
