Name:  Match letters in your child's name - Write your child’s name on a piece of paper – have them find matching letters to place underneath each letter

Comprehension Question: 
What tools do you think Noah needed to make the ark?
How do you think Noah felt when the people laughed at him for following God?
Tell me about a time that you had trouble obeying. 

Book of the Week:
Miss Spider Miss Spider's Tea Party: The Counting Book - This book is used again in the curriculum once numbers 1-12 are learned.
    
Ideas:
• Book of the Week Ideas:
Discuss how Miss Spider showed kindness to the other insects.
Also talk about the fear the other insects had for Miss Spider.  They just looked on the outside and not on her heart.
Have a tea party.
Make a spider web craft.

• Make sure your child does not add a vowel to the end of /d/ such as /duh/
  Writing a "d" - make a "c" and then add a line

• Play Hi Ho Cherry-O or use the spinner and name the numbers

• Ovals – Eggs & plastic Easter eggs, Oval Ritz crackers

• Write the letter "D" or "d" on 5 index cards.  Walk around the house to find items that start with "d".  Tape the cards to the item.  For a twist, tape the cards to items and have your child find the cards. 

• Count tires on bicycles, tricycles, cars

• Animal Cracker Round Up - Take a pile of animal crackers and choose two of each kind of animal just like Noah did

• Noah's Ark Ideas: 
  Ark Craft - Print the ark.  Write this week's memory verse on the ark.  Glue on animal crackers or use pictures or stickers of animals.  Explain to the child how Noah showed God love by obeying His commandment to build the ark and collect the animals.
