• Corduroy Book of the Week Ideas:
Show your child how to sew on a button.
Talk about the emotions that Corduroy feels through out the book. Discuss times that your child felt that same way.
Play "Find the Button" - Hide a large button and have your child look for it.
Corduroy Story Extension - Although this activity is geared toward older children, there are many suggestions that can be done with 3-year-olds.

• Crossing the Red Sea Preschool Bible Story Activities & Color Sheets:

- Play "Follow the Leader" and talk about how the Israelites followed Moses
- Some children may be confused that even though it is called the Red Sea, the water is still blue.
• Notice numbers on an electric clock
– Let child know that they can get up from quiet time at ____, eat lunch at ___, etc.
– Ask your child to tell you the numbers on the clock

• Fine Motor Skills:
Using safety scissors, have your child cut along a thick line drawn on heavy paper (cardstock) - When cutting, remind the child that their dominant hand does the cutting while the other hand moves the paper. Watch that the elbows do not point out while cutting. Check out Teaching How to Use Scissors for ideas.
• Gross Motor Skill:
