Week 9 - Review - 4th Week of October

Items Needed:   Sandpaper Numbers:  0 - 4
Sandpaper Letters:  Aa - Ee
Name:  Two sets of the letters in the your child's name
Shape:  Ovals, Heart
Game:  Pieces of paper with numbers written on them, Small Halloween candy, Colorama
Books:  Hermie:  A Common Caterpillar, Barnyard Dance, Miss Spider's Tea Party: The Counting Book, Corduroy   

Ideas:
• Put number flashcards in the correct order

• Using one set of letters, write the child's name.  Have the child match the letters in their name below the first set.  Afterwards, say the name of each letter.

• Do the child’s favorite activities from the previous weeks

• Play Big Bird Number Game - Press any key on the keyboard to have numbers appear on the screen.

• Play Colorama - Review colors playing Game #1 or #2

• Fine Motor Skill:
Using candy corn or other small Halloween candy, create groups of candy from 0 to 4 in a pile - Use thumb and index finger to pick up candy

• Gross Motor Skill:
Number Hop (using Floor Numbers)
Place pieces of paper on the floor (close enough together to hop to)
Have the child hop to the numbers in sequential order
