Calendar Activity - Here is an activity that would be a great start to each day to reinforce numbers, days of the week, and months of the year.

• Shape Sort Activity - Great activity to help teach the different shapes

• Bible Story Activity (Adapted from Hands-On Bible Curriculum)
Using various Body Coloring Posters (pages 1 & 2), have the child identify the body parts.  Then ask the child, "How can you use your ____ to honor or do things for God?"  Explain that the Bible story this week is about a very special lady named Hannah.  She loved God with all of her heart (show heart poster); she used her mouth and hands to pray to God (show mouth and hand poster); she used her feet to go back and forth from church (show feet poster); she used her ears (show ears poster) to listen to God.   Following the Bible story, allow the child to color the pages.

• Place the letters Aa-Ii and/or numbers 0-6 into a bag or basket.  Have you child draw out one and tell you the name/phonetic sound.

• Thanksgiving Activity - Thankful Four from FamilyFun Magazine
Print enough Number 4 Posters to give one to each person.  Write "I'm Thankful" on each number four.  Write down what each person is thankful for.  Have the child decorate and cut out the four.  Make this activity part of your family Thanksgiving dinner by putting a Number 4 Poster at each person's plate.

Thanksgiving Ideas from ABCJLM

• Fine Motor Skills:
Using shallow cups, write a number (0-6) on each cup.  Have your child fill each cup with the correct number of chocolate chips, buttons, coins, etc.  Make sure that your child picks up the small items with their thumb and index finger.  For fun, time the activity.

• Gross Motor Skills:
With a stuffed animal, play a game of catch, throwing underhand, overhand, and over your head.
