Ideas:
• Tying Shoes
- There are several ways to teach your child to tie their shoes. Here are a few ideas from the web: Idea #1, Idea #2
- Choose one method and stick with it
- Make sure that you and the child are side by side and not opposite each other
- Adult shoe strings are easier to tie than a child's because they are longer
- Divide the process into steps and work on each step individually before putting it all together
- Start by crossing the string to make an "x," tuck and pull

• Letter Ideas:
Weeks 31-32 focus on the kick characters - those characters that kick out from the center point.  Start by creating the characters using play dough snakes or pipe cleaners and move to writing the characters on 1 1/2" tracing paper with yellow lines and green and red dots as a guide.  Use the Kick Worksheet to show the similarities between the letters.  Be sure to say the Letter Formation Chant as the child creates each character.

• Write Numbers (0-17)
Using 1 1/2" tracing paper have your child write their numbers (0-17).  Use yellow lines and green and red dots as a guide on numbers that are still a struggle.

• Dye Easter eggs and review colors and mixing colors

• Jesus is King
Using a premade crown, ask the child to identify the object that you have on your head or in your hands.  "Who would wear a crown?  What does a king do?  Jesus would be a great king.  He's kind and fair, and He loves us all very much.   Many people wanted Jesus to become a king on earth.  The people wanted Jesus to lead an army and take over the country and fight the Romans.  But Jesus said no.  Jesus preached peace because He knew God wanted Him to be the King of Heaven not earth.  Even though He could have been king, Jesus chose to die for us so we could be forgiven."  Make a paper crown as a reminder that Jesus loved us enough to die on the cross and He is now the King of Heaven.

•  I Will Obey  Print the black and white "I Will Obey" poster.  Use as a coloring sheet or color, back with cardstock, and cut into a puzzle.

• Address Craft

• Write full name, phone number, and address
Using 1 1/2" tracing paper, have your child write their phone number and address.  Use yellow lines and green and red dots as a guide on numbers that are still a struggle.  Depending on the ability of your child, work on small sections at a time if needed.
