Ideas:
• Letter & Number Ideas:
Weeks 10-12 focus on the second group of "angled-line letters".
Start by creating the letters with short and long popsicle stickers or legos and writing on yellow lines with green and red dots.
Use the Angled Line Characters #2 worksheet to show the progression of the letters and numbers
• Sort Halloween candy by shape – Always have your child explain to you why they sorted the items in their chosen piles
• Have your child help to empty the dishwasher. Help them sort things on a low table or cabinet if they can not reach to put items away.
• Giving: Samaritan’s Purse is an organization that provides a gift filled shoebox to children all over the world through Operation Christmas Child. The activity of choosing items to fill the shoebox is an excellent way for your child to share goodness as well as put into practice the true meaning of Christmas.
• Showing Goodness/Kindness Story - The story of the Good Samaritan told from the perspective of the innkeeper. Remember that this is a story (parable) that Jesus told to help people know how important it is to help and care for others, no matter who they are.
• As you read from My Story Bible (pg 92-93) have your child be the footsteps by patting on their legs making the footsteps crescendo as they get closer and decrescendo as they walk away
• My Young Child Character Education Story - read online for free or print. Be sure to do the discussion and activities for each book.

• Fine Motor Skill:
Hide little beads in a large piece of playdoh or putty. Using their index finger, have your child find the beads. Using their thumb is "cheating" and not working the weaker muscles.
• Gross Motor Skill:
Play Twister - While the real game will probably be too hard now, have fun matching colors and body parts.
