• Letter & Number Ideas:
Weeks 5-9 are spent working on "angled-line letters".  Use the Angled Line Characters #1 worksheet to review all letters and numbers learned thus far.

• Name:
Continue to have the child practice writing their name on 1 1/2" tracing paper.  View Learning to Write to decide the appropriate level of difficulty to start for your child.

• Christian Halloween Ideas from ABCJLM

• Have a letter or number hunt.
On individual piece of paper, write a review letter or number.  Scatter the pieces of paper on a table.  Have the child search in magazines for the various letters or number.  Cut them out and paste them onto the correct sheets.  This activity could be done by several children at a time.

Spatial Worksheets - Various worksheets to demonstrate "on, in, under, up, down"

Count-the-Dots Worksheet

• Fine Motor Skill:
Using candy corn or other small Halloween candy, create groups of candy from zero to five in a pile - encourage your child to use their thumb and index finger.  For additional practice, have the child pick up the small items with a pair of tweezers or tongs.  Cosmetic tweezers may be harder to use so consider purchasing a plastic set that comes in science or doctor sets or kitchen tongs.

• Gross Motor Skill:
Walking a straight line - heel to toe
Walk along a line of tape on the floor (don’t use masking tape on carpet) or use Sidewalk Chalk outside
Walk along a curb or fallen log
Go to a playground that has a low balance beam

• Visual Perception Skill:
Block to Block
