Ideas:
• Hide Easter Eggs – tell your child to look for a specific colored egg to give you

• Letter & Number Ideas:
Weeks 1-4 are spent working on "straight-line letters".  Use the Line Characters worksheet to review all letters and numbers learned thus far.

• Create a hand and foot print - keep it to compare with one created at the end of the curriculum.  You may want to begin the Handprint and Footprint Calendar for a great Christmas gift.

• Draw 3/4 of a shape.  Have the child finish the shape.

• Number Combinations:
Talk about how numbers 1 and 4 are separate numbers but together they can be 14 (smaller number) or 41 (larger number).  Count out buttons, M&M's, or Cheerios in a group of 1, 4, 14 and 41.

• Name - If your child is ready, remove all lines and have the child write his/her name on a blank sheet of paper.  This activity prepares a child for signing cards, crafts, or other unlined items.

• Fine Motor Skill:
Play Dominoes

• Gross Motor Skill:
Play Twister – While the real game will probably be too hard now, have fun matching colors and body parts.

• Visual Perception Skill:
Block to Block
