Colors, Shapes, Seasons, Senses, Basic Math, & Personal Information
When deciding what I wanted to include in the 4 Year Old Curriculum, I looked at several schools’ kindergarten screening requirements. Below are listed the items that I found most frequently.
This is what I call the "academic" part of the curriculum. I want to caution you to not make this part long or technical. Keep it fun and active. Each lesson plan includes ways to incorporate this part into everyday activities. If you are looking for the opportunities, the teachable moments will never cease.
