I did find it though: http://preschool2prek.blogspot.com/2009/08/noahs-ark-lapbook.html
My boys have been enjoying the 1st steps books for some time. Here is an idea I came up with. I found small pictures of items that began with A and laminated them. I made a sound box out of a box about the size of a kleenex box. As we read the book we put the pictures into the sound box. Then you can store the pictures in an envelope and move on to the next letter. As the child advances, you can play other games such as putting many "A" items and a couple of other letter items and have them pull them out. Ask questions like "Does apple begin with "A"? Then when they pull out a "banana" ask the same question. . . etc.
