• Fine Motor Skill:
Child stirring granola. Helping in the kitchen is a wonderful fine motor activity for children, beyond the time together it provides.  Allow your child to assist by helping you stir, pour, unwrap, and shake.  Placing a damp cloth under a bowl helps keep it from slipping. This week stir and bake brownies:  Follow the directions on a brownie mix allowing the child to help stirring.  Also count the eggs as you add to the mix.  Name the color brown as you prepare and eat.  Using a star cookie cutter, make star brownies.

• Gross Motor Skill:
Continue obedience training by teaching the child to obey the commands stop, go, stay, and come. To review stop and go, use a CD or app to play music and while the music plays, dance or march.  When the music stops, freeze.  Use the words "stop" and "go" depending on whether the music is stopped or playing. To review stay and come, play Red Light, Green Light.
