This curriculum was written for preschool and kindergarten-age children, but may be modified to use with early-elementary age children.
Written specifically for churches and preschools, the "Then They'll Grow" Curriculum empowers teachers to guide preschoolers' growth in their understanding of God. The Curriculum, which can easily be tweaked for family use, includes 43 lessons covering New Testament stories of Jesus' Ministry, Miracles, and Parable, as well as lesser-known stories of the First Church. It also includes nine additional lessons for major holidays: Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The objectives page opens each of the 52 weekly lessons and centers on a specific characteristic of God. Further your child(ren)'s learning through memory verses, comprehensive questions, snack ideas, and Bible songs. Children are encouraged to learn the books of the Bible through song. Don't worry about creating a supply list; we provide one for you for easy preparation.
Use your energy to engage in activities, not coming up with them. Several options such as crafts, games, songs, and fingerplays, are included on the Activities page to further Bible learning. Need more ideas? Look under "Additional Ideas" to get tips and further information for the lesson. Around half of the lessons include individual or group craft activities, and 17 lessons include a worksheet for craft time.
This portion of the curriculum is a favorite of the author, Heidi, as it contains an age-appropriate, interactive, fun script for sharing a given Bible story with children. Each script has been tested and proven successful through use in small and large groups of children. Find in each lesson suggestions for involving the children and using props or flannelgraph to accommodate multiple learning levels.
A Scope and Sequence provides an outline of the lessons to easily adjust the curriculum to your needs. Included are 4 pages of Teaching Tips and Tools that empower teachers of all skillsets to make the best use of the "Then They'll Grow" Curriculum.
Approximately 1/2 of the Lesson Plans include individual or group Craft Activities. 17 Lesson Plans utilize a worksheet for craft time. Worksheets are found with the Lesson Plan to reproduce as needed. All activities utilize easily obtained supplies and are age-appropriate allowing the children to be successful.
Visual material and movement suggestions in the Bible scripts aim to incorporate all learning styles. Use the optional flannelgraph, household items, or actions that are built into the storyline. All materials and flannelgraph usage are recommendations, not requirements, to use this curriculum, and are not included with the curriculum.
