Family or License Use Only: Cut out the pieces on the Paper Bag Lamb template. Open up a lunch-sized paper bag and fill with newspaper. Fold over the end and tape to close. On the bottom of the sack, glue the lamb face. Glue the legs to the sides of the bag. Add a cotton ball tail on the folded top of the bag.

Use items around your home or classroom and dress up like a shepherd. Robe, towel or paper sack along with a belt and a staff.

Provide the child with a toy shepherd's staff or cane, and several stuffed-animal sheep. Spread the sheep through the room or space. Let the child use the crook of the staff or cane to gather all the sheep, bringing them back to the fold (box or fenced in area). Tip: Do this activity yourself to confirm that the sheep and crook are at a proper ratio to actually carry a sheep.
