Print and cut out the Lion Puppet printable. Glue the head to the bottom of a lunch-size brown paper sack. Glue the body to the sack. Tell the Bible story from the perspective of the lion while using the puppet.

Combine the "Letter l" with the Bible story. Print the Letter 'l" Lion printable in color (or in black and white and then color the green and red dots). Have the child draw straight lines and color the lion. Explain that drawing straight lines is making the letter "l."

Print the Lion Head printable on cardstock or glue to a paper plate. Color the head and add brown yarn for the mane. Glue a large craft stick to the back of the head. Cut out the eyes to make a mask for the child. Wear the puppet and while using a courageous voice say the week's memory verse.

Place stuffed lions in a corner with blankets or blocks to create a “den.” Let children act out the story.
Children “roar” like lions. When you say Trust God, they freeze and fold their hands to pray.
Cut out paper paw prints and place them around the room. Have children follow the prints in a fun obstacle course.
Use round crackers or English muffins with simple toppings to create lion faces.

Draw or print simple pictures (Daniel praying, lions, king, angel). Let children put them in order.
Use blocks or blankets to build a “den.” Talk about how God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths.
